The trick is not to do everything on your phone
The wrong mental model is "mobile IDE." That sounds miserable, and mostly is. The right mental model is "mobile supervision layer." You do architecture, careful debugging, and deep review from the terminal. But once the plan is clear, the rest often becomes short instructions, status checks, course corrections, and handoff.
That is where Telegram starts to make sense. It already gives you notifications, voice notes, screenshots, files, inline buttons, and a chat interface that works equally well in a private thread or a shared group. You do not need to install or invent a whole new mobile client to get those primitives.

Why Telegram works better than it should
- Short prompts are natural. "Continue with story 3." "Run the tests." "Abort and try the adapter pattern." These are chat-sized instructions.
- Voice input is native. Speaking a correction is faster than thumb-typing it, especially when you are walking or away from a keyboard.
- Screenshots and files are native too. A phone is good at capturing context from the real world and passing it into the agent loop.
- Groups and topics create natural separation. One project per topic is a better mobile organization model than one giant mixed thread.
Two versions of the same idea

Filip Zivanovic on X is interesting for a different reason: the workflow is no longer just "remote coding." It becomes shared operations and personal systems work through the same interface layer.
What actually matters in a mobile coding-agent setup
- ASR is not optional. Voice notes remove the worst part of mobile prompting.
- Thread handback matters. The phone is useful only if it does not trap you there. You need a clean route back to the terminal.
- Profile switching matters. On mobile, sandbox and approval choices have to be deliberate and easy to inspect.
- The UI has to respect mobile reality. Inline buttons, concise feedback, topic isolation, and attachment support matter more than pretending you have a desktop.
The bigger takeaway
This is not really about Telegram specifically. It is about recognizing that agent workflows are splitting into layers. The terminal is still the best place for setup and careful work. But the supervisory layer can live somewhere else, and in practice a messaging app turns out to be a very strong candidate.
